pf or achilles heel problem?

Message posted by: Bernie R.

Yes, I’ve searched around the site, and did find some info, but not quite what I’m looking for…like perhaps some type of good news.

Competed in the Urbanathlon on the 31st(January) and have noticed since then a very mild pain in the back of the lower leg, just above the heel. At first, I could only feel like when touching it. So I figured something in my shoe was rubbing…no big deal. Can’t feel anything while running. But after an easy 10k yesterday, I feel it quite a bit more, to the point where taking off the shoe hurt. Iced and stretched. This morning, it just feels worse. I’ve researched it and I can’t feel a bump or knot or anything, so not sure what I might be dealing with here. The pain is not severe now, so I’m wondering about running through it.

Also, will cycling make it worse?

70.3 is coming up March 21st, can’t afford to lose running time here…pretty annoyed this morning.

Can’t wait to hear from you guys…thanks!!
