# of sbr workouts per week?

Hey guys!

One size does not fit all, and end goals, fitness levels and racing distances help determine the answers I know. But I’ll ask anyway! I am interested how many work outs a week do you guys do, for what distance race and what’s your race goals?

I’ve been following the ontri oly distance elite work out program which doubles up 1 day and has 1 day off for 7 work outs 2 swim, 3 bike and 2 run (on most weeks). The longest training weeks are 7.5 hours and the recovery weeks are 3.5 hours. I’d like to move up to 10 WO a week, 3S, 4B and 3R which would add roughly 3 hours on the long weeks and 1.5 on the recovery weeks. The goal is to get faster in each leg and try to crack top 20 in sprint races and top 40 in Olys. My last sprint race in the fall I was 50/260 with 3 months of SBR training. This bettered my first race by 60 spots (i trained for 5weeks for that one. Boy, did I suffer on the run too. Ouch!

Thanks to all of you for your posts. I am inspired, motivated by and appreciate what you all are doing no matter the goal. I’ve learned so much from you all. Thank you.

Scott
