new slow fat triathlete week 1

Well week 1 done. Went from 2 laps to 20 laps of swimming, 2 to 15 miles on the bike, and running 1 mile in the pool. Who says an injury can keep a future triathlete down? My goal is 100 laps (3 miles) in the pool, 115 miles on the bike, and run 27 miles. That should get me ready for the tri. I’m already ahead of my schedule which is a good thing. Hopefully I will stay on track.

Does anyone have any advice for the Whirlpool Ironman 70.3 Steelhead Triathlon? Are there a lot of hills?
