p90x…day 1

OK, my hubby and I have taken the plunge- day 1 of p90x (lean). I got up at 5am to get my workout in before Scott leaves for work @ 6am. The video (core synergistics)was tough- I was strong (coordinated) with the weights, but pretty bad on the core work and pushups. (Tempted to try it again tonight, but I won’t…) I felt like it was a good workout- but different from what I’m used too- swimming, biking, running. I’m going to add those as I go this week.
More importantly (to me) is the diet. I planned my meals for the first few days, went shopping, and packed my lunch and snacks today. I stuck to my plan and ate only what I packed. And dinner’s cooking right now, before I can get too hungry. This is huge for me because I am the infamous fast-food junkie, not necessarily for taste (ok…sometimes), but for the convenience w/ our crazy schedules.
I’m not going to post photos or measurements or anything like that. My goals are to lose 10lbs of bodyfat, and strengthen my core and low back before startn IM traning in Feb.
