changing of lifestyle…

Message posted by: Leah S.

I have been a newbie/BOP for three years now, doing triathlons as a sort of half-hearted hobby. I have fallen in love with the races – the atmosphere, the people, the “holy crap, I just did a triathlon” feeling – but have completely lacked the discipline to REALLy train and feel like I am competing, not just participating. I want to change that, and am ready to. Does anyone have any advice, and/or stories, about how to really commit to the lifestyle change?

On a side note: I am currently working on my masters degree in Mental Health and certification as a personal trainer so I can incorporate both the mental and physical pieces into counseling. Thanks!
