my kid is sick……

High fever (103 on Sunday, 101 yesterday), wet cough, sneezing, diarrhea, and today for the added bonus, a drippy green runny nose.

Drs. tested for strep (negative), but refuse to give tamiflu b/c they say he is over age 2 (he’s 3), doesnt have risk factors (like asthma- although my daughter is severely asthmatic) and he doesnt have ALL the symptoms….They say its just a virus.

We can’t get the swine flu shot in our area b/c they keep running out, and/or changing the times/locations where you can get the vaccines. Doesnt matter now anyways b/c I cant get either of them a shot if they are sick…

What is the incubation period for these viruses and flus? My son has been coughing all over me, and refuses to not be “snuggled with” when he’s not feeling well. I’m tempted to buy a mask for myself, but I think its already too late….

Clearwater 11 days away….
