Ok I really need to stop using my head to soften my fall. Helmets are expensive!!. I was doing a sprint triathlon on Sunday and feeling great! The swim was shortened due to fog and weather. Got out of the water and onto the bike. Roads were a little slick from drizzle and in desperate need of repair. Within the 1st 3 miles, I fell going uphill. I went to shift and my chain fell off, thought I could shift to get it back on, no luck and no time to unclip so down I went. NOt too bad just a skinned knee. Got the chain on and off I went. I was near the dismount and went over the handlebars. Don’t know what happened, don’t remember, woke up briefly in the CT scan machine. Spend the night in the hospital. Nice road rash, bruises and scrapes everywhere! I look like one of those teenage skateboardetr boys whos had one too many falls!! Glad I am ok but DOC said NO training for 4 weeks!! so I am out of Mattapoisett and Timberman. I can not sit on my arse for 4 weeks, I will be such a bi
&^h that hubby will divorce me!! Worst of all..They CUT off my tri clothes including my new helmet and trishorts, I just bought em!! Well gotta go shopping, thanks for letting me rant
