Ok so my best friend and I are camping @ Gunstock but we don’t bring any food so we go to a little pizza/sandwich place not far from the campground to get a sandwich to go. We go inside and there are 2 tri peeps waiting for their to go food, one looks familiar, I didn’t realize it was Chrissie until the other tri guy says hey your CW, she looks different in person. We all start talking while waiting for our food. The service is sloooowww,I don’ mind but she had been waiting for awhile.She forgot to tell the waitress something so she went to the window where the cook was making the food to tell him and the waitress damn near jumped her! she was soooo rude to CW and we were all like does’nt she know who that is??? obviously not! a few more minutes go by and we are still waiting, the waitress walks by CW, looks at her bare feet and tells her she can’t be in the place w/bare feet, she’s been there for 15-20 mins already. CW does not know what to do, she still wants her food but h
as to go outside to wait, I felt so bad for her. I went outside to talk to her and told her not all New Englanders are that rude, she is the nicest person, down to earth. I would have told the waitress to stuff it. The waitress brings her food but it’s the wrong order!! so now she is outside w/ the wrong food, no shoes, kicked out of the place and treated very rudely. What does a good New Englander do…I give her my flip flops! she goes inside to tell the cook that its wrong and he is rude to her!! The poor girl just can’t win. She still keeps her cool, finally gets her food and gives me back my flip flops….my now lucky flip flops…I attribute my new PR to my bare feet touching her bare feet…I will never wash my feet again!! LOL Afterward I told my best friend that I should have gotten a picture w/her so the next day as she was waiting for me at the race she sees Crissie after she won and literally grabs her, takes her picture for me then hugs her and says its from me.
She has got to think we are psyco!! especially if I see her in Hawaii.By the way she was 6th overall, beating most of the male pro’s!!!
