I came across this training plan for IM FL yesterday- a bit pricey but I wanted to take a look. When I opened the same week of training, my jaw dropped. I am finishing up my 3rd week of 20 on a different plan (beginnertriathlete.com).

The plan really works for me and my timeframe w/ kids, job, etc, but the comparison to the Multisport plan is scary. Please look.

Am I reading this plan right or does it call for 20 training hours a week– in the first week?? (the first week is the only one shown in the sample). I know it says you can cut it down to the bare minimum, which comes out to about 11 hours, which made me feel slightly better, but I am now freaking out that the training plan I’m using doesnt have enough training hours (avg 12 hrs/ week, recovery weeks are 8 hours, and high is 18 hours during base 3).
There’s no way I have the time or energy to work out for 20 hrs a week for 24 weeks! This is my first moment of pure Ironman fear- am I completely screwed?
