I was mad about the tubes yesterday and still am, but being positive I did a 1250 yard swim before the ride. My average for the month and for times past is 35:30 a mile on the swim. Yesterday’s pace coming out of the water was 32:30 a mile. I really don’t think I even got into a good pace until about half way through the swim. I felt myself reaching out further, making myself more streamlined, and even managed to keep the feet close together and get what I think is a 2 beat kick going. At that point I definitely felt faster. I hope I can remember that feeling and do it again, which now will not be until Friday since I am determined to get the last hour of yesterday’s ride in today and also run my scheduled hour run.
Something about this site. I’m actually do not have a race I’m scheduled to do, but did select a 1/2 IM training plan. I hate skipping workouts, and try and make them up even if I don’t have a race. Something about getting close to the end of a week and seeing I’ve only done 60% of what I was “scheduled” to do.
