I am hoping some of the experience bike people will give me some feedback.
I just bought a used HED 3 clincher rear wheel, and an HED Alps front clincher. Wasnt my ideal choice for race wheels, however for the money I spent I figured it would be a great stepping stone and can pretty much sell them for what i paid for them once i am ready for the $2,500 Zipps.
So here is my question. I am from the prairies and race mostly in the prairies so I know the HED 3 has great Areo advantages over my Bontrager race lites or my Easton Vista’s. What I am wondering is in Alcatraz, because it is so hilly, would I be better off using my Bontrager Race Lite rear wheel or going with the HED 3 even though it is marginally heavier?
