Week 2
As a Type A Personality and what some would call a “Perfectionist,” I am not too happy with last week’s work out. It was as follows:
Tuesday – 13 Mile Bike Ride – 47:00
Thursday – 1.50 Mile Jog – 15:00 / 7 Mile Bike – 25:00
I plan to step up the activity this week and try to get into the gym Monday – Thursday. I think that you have to be consistent to see results. Touch and go will not be acceptable.
I do have a small moral victory from over the weekend. On Saturday, I went golfing. I was able to stick to my diet plan and did not, I repeat, did not have a sip of beer on the course. For those of you that care, I shot a 47 (with 8 penalty strokes), 40 for a whopping 87. That night, we went out for a bachelor party, and although I had a few Mich Ultra’s, I ate a salad and was able to keep away from any “junk food” the entire night.
As far as support is concerned, many people are taking the attitude of, “Here he goes again with another one of his crazy ideas!” coupled with an eye rolling, but Courtney has been very supportive (as usual). This is a good thing for both of us since she will have a slim and tone good looking guy to take out in public.
