What motivates a person to compete, to push themselves, to get up at (ick) 5am and run until they want to vomit?

For me, it’s competition, it’s accomplishing something, it’s seeing just what I’m capable of. I’m sure the members of this blog all have differing motivations…some seek health and fitness, some are just gluttons for punishment.

This site will chronicle the training, diet, struggles, and accomplishments of 4 people: Scott, Katie, Pat, and Keohan. Sit back and enjoy. Or, even better, step up and join us in our quest to complete one of the most grueling races in all athletics…the triathlon.
